Pleasant Valley Fields wins APWA Project of the Year in structures category

May 2010
MNS is pleased to announce that the Pleasant Valley Fields park project was awarded 2010 Project of the Year in the Structures category from the Ventura County Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). MNS provided construction management and inspection for this $12 Million, 55-acre hallmark park project located adjacent to the Village at the Park residential community in Camarillo, CA. The project is a culmination of major efforts on the part of the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District, the construction team, and the local community that will benefit from its full scope of recreational amenities.

Pleasant Valley Fields offers 23 acres of turf lighted for sports use (enough for 10 FIFA-sized soccer fields and 3 permanent softball fields), as well as picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, offices, classrooms, and walking and bike paths. The MNS Construction Management team worked diligently to find in-the-field solutions to keep project costs low, ensure water conservation as a top priority for landscaping and irrigation, and to engage the local community.
