S&C Engineers Joined MNS Engineers in 2018

MNS Engineers, Inc. (MNS) is pleased to announce the acquisition of S&C Engineers, Inc. (S&C). S&C, headquartered in Oakland, California, has provided professional program management and construction management services throughout the Bay Area for over 18 years. S&C specializes in managing transportation construction projects including rail, transit, intermodal, ITS/Smart Corridors, highway, bridge, and seismic retrofit. Since the company’s inception in 2000, S&C has completed over 100 construction projects totaling over $1.5B in infrastructure improvements in the state of California.

“MNS has a long standing, collaborative relationship with S&C on many infrastructure improvement projects throughout California. We are excited to welcome S&C’s highly-talented staff to the team further strengthening MNS’ position in the transportation market. We look forward to continued growth in the Bay Area and expansion of all MNS service offerings in this region.”  Jim Salvito, President and CEO of MNS Engineers

MNS is a privately held California based infrastructure consulting firm headquartered in Santa Barbara. The addition of S&C will expand MNS’ geographic footprint in the Bay Area and provide additional service offerings.

“We are pleased to join the MNS family. The firm’s leadership team, technical and career development opportunities for employees, and overall culture were key factors in our decision to join MNS.” Jim Scott, S&C President

MNS has provided services to the transportation, water resources, government services, and federal markets since 1962. The firm is well known for their construction management expertise having successfully delivered over $2.5B in programmable money over the last ten years, including FHWA, ARRA, HBP, STIP, FEMA, and bond funded projects. MNS has received state and national recognition for their extraordinary achievements, most recently with the US 101 HOV and Bike Path project receiving the coveted Caltrans Excellence in Transportation award and the Elkhorn Road Emergency Repair project, which will receive national recognition at the 2018 American Public Works Association Exposition in Kansas City later this year.

“We knew the combination of MNS and S&C would complement our business practice and strengthen our ability to deliver quality transportation projects in the Bay Area. Our firms share a similar philosophy of providing innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions to our public-sector clientele.”  Greg Chelini, MNS Vice President and Principal Construction Manager

The firms have enjoyed recent success partnering on projects in Monterey, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Cruz counties.

The acquisition of S&C Engineers, Inc. was completed on April 1, 2018. MNS will work closely with S&C to ensure clients experience a seamless transition while continuing to provide exceptional services.
