Congratulations to MNS Government Services division and the City of Greenfield for being awarded the APWA Monterrey Bay 2025 Project of the Year Award for the 12th Street Improvement Project! As a vital pedestrian route for students traveling to Vista Verde Middle School, Oak Avenue Elementary School, and Greenfield High School, this project addressed a critical safety need for pedestrians within a 1-mile radius of the project. The improvements included sidewalks, Class II bike lanes, drainage, and pedestrian improvements on 12th Street between Oak Avenue and Elm Avenue, and a high visibility crosswalk, curb ramp, and flashing stop signs on 12th Street and Elm Avenue. The completion of the project has created a continuous, safe and comfortable facility for all users, especially students, with sidewalks and Class II bike lanes on both sides of the street.
