San Jose, CA (October 2014). California infrastructure services firm MNS Engineers, Inc., is proud to announce the appointment of Wilhelm (“Willy”) Nowotny, PMP, as Principal Construction Manager, working within the firm’s Water Resources Division.

MNS’ President and CEO, Jim Salvito, said, “Willy is an exceptional manager, mentor, and leader. His demonstrated leadership, knowledge, and high ethics on successor projects will be vital during MNS’ water resources infrastructure market expansion to the northern California region. Our goal is to meet the growing demand from public agency clients for the top-quality, high-value construction management services MNS provides. With Willy joining the team, MNS now serves a wider geographical area and a greater number of clients.”

“Building teams to handle the most difficult projects is my passion. I have direct hands-on experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in the successful construction of large, complex industrial, water, and wastewater projects. I look forward to applying this extensive knowledge base to grow MNS’ water resources construction management presence across northern California,” said Willy of his position with the company. As a seasoned construction manager with over 30 years of success in completing difficult, time-constrained projects, Willy is well equipped to meet this challenge.

Willy has completed over $3 billion in construction management projects throughout the United States, Dominican Republic, and Peru. He has performed all aspects of larger capital project development processes from design management through project closeout. These projects encompassed all alternative delivery methods including lump sum, design-build, and CMAR/GMP. Ultimately, his success in the industry is driven by his passion to provide the customer with outstanding results—on time and on budget.

Public agencies are challenged to find effective ways to provide dependable water supplies and to restore used water to continue sustaining the natural environment. Willy’s project success with communities across the globe solving these types of challenges in an environmentally sustainable manner will be a valuable resource for public agencies in northern California.
