MNS Welcomes Principal Surveyor

MNS Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of James Ryan, PLS, as Principal Surveyor! James brings over twenty years of surveying experience to the team, strengthening our ability to provide a high level of service to clients throughout California.

Most recently, James served as the City and County Surveyor of San Francisco guiding developers, attorneys, and other city agency staff on all subdivision matters for large redevelopment projects in the City and County of San Francisco. His responsibilities included oversight and management of a $5M+ annual budget in support of the agencies $352M annual operating budget. Along with his robust technical skills and management background, James has a demonstrated ability to navigate challenging situations with poise and diplomacy. His extensive experience includes development agreements, subdivision applications and approvals, final map package reviews and recordings, easement and right of way dedication, and vacation and acceptance. James routinely represented his division at Public Works Director hearings and Board of Supervisor hearings as well as served as a subject matter expert to other municipalities and attorneys.

MNS ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH LONG POINT CAPITAL

MNS Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce that Long Point Capital, a New York-based private equity group, acquired an interest in the privately held firm. Headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA, MNS is a multi-service infrastructure consulting firm offering construction management, civil engineering, and surveying services throughout California. The transaction closed in August and represents a substantial investment by both firms to accelerate MNS’ growth within California and other geographies nationally.

MNS’ organic and M&A based growth strategy has proven successful, more than doubling corporate revenue since 2016. “We had already successfully acquired S&C Engineers in 2018.
