The City of Santa Clarita Improves Pedestrian Safety on Newhall Ranch Road

The MNS Survey team is actively overseeing construction staking of the Newhall Ranch Road Bridge Widening in the City of Santa Clarita, which will improve traffic and pedestrian safety. The bridge, which lies 0.25 miles west of McBean Parkway and is built over the San Francisquito Creek, will be widened to four lanes in each direction.

In addition, the widening will provide pedestrian-friendly elements such as a raised median, barrier protected raised sidewalk, and multi-use path on the south side. The construction of the widening project began in May 2017 and is expected to be complete by October 2018. This is one of many MNS projects which have improved traffic flow, cut down drive time across town, increased public safety, and greatly improved neighborhood access. Our team looks forward to collaborating on many more projects with the City of Santa Clarita!
