Firm Expands Environmental and Stormwater Program Services

Buellton, CA (October 2014). California infrastructure services firm MNS Engineers, Inc., welcomes Sheri Lubin, Environmental Specialist, and Mary Zepeda, Stormwater Program Coordinator, within the firm’s growing Government Services Division.

Ms. Lubin has gained a broad range of experience over the past 19 years as a land manager, director of environmental stewardship programs, environmental project manager, and biological and restoration consultant in California. Sheri has coordinated, implemented, and guided small and large-scale environmental conservation and restoration projects involving the following:

  • Environmental stewardship
  • Water conservation/quality monitoring

  • Habitat restoration planning
  • watershed stewardship
  • Construction monitoring

Sheri is experienced with obtaining and managing grants from government, for-profit, and non-profit foundation sources. Additionally, she has trained and partnered with a variety of organizations and groups—including city, county and state governments, military, corporations, foundations, academia and non-profit organizations—for wide-ranging environmental projects such as storm drain water run-off, water quality, watershed stewardship, habitat restoration, environmental compliance, and environmental sustainability topics.

For the past 23 years, Ms. Zepeda has honed her skills in PCB management, hazardous materials and waste management, and hazardous materials regulatory compliance. Mary ensures client compliance with federal, state and local regulations, codes, and policies. She continually improves the program by evaluating and updating ordinances and policies. Mary has a proven track record for achieving compliance; her work at Southern California Edison resulted in decreased annual notice of violations from 95 to 100%.

Together, Sheri and Mary offer superior local knowledge and relationships in environmental and stormwater programs to combat the challenges presented by pollution, urbanization, and other population pressures; they will continue to expand the range of services MNS offers their clients in all phases of project development.
