MNS Expands Services with New Planning Practice

MNS Engineers, Inc., a California-based multi-service infrastructure consulting firm, is excited to announce the launch of our Planning Practice. This new service line supports public agencies through environmental compliance, regulatory permitting, community planning, and agency staffing services.

“I’m thrilled to see this new service line brought in-house, complementing and enhancing our existing portfolio of engineering, construction management, and land surveying services,” said Darren Riegler, President and CEO. “The launch of our Planning Services Practice positions MNS to better serve our clients by offering comprehensive technical advisory services from inception through construction.”

Leading the Planning Practice is Vice President and Planning Business Unit Lead Peter Minegar, AICP. Peter brings more than a decade of professional experience serving municipalities throughout California. He has worked on projects throughout the planning and project delivery lifecycle, ranging from managing large-scale land use planning projects to environmental compliance support for infrastructure projects. Peter has also served as an in-house Environmental Manager and Principal Planner for several local agencies throughout the State.

“I’m excited to join the MNS Team and expand upon the firm’s strong industry reputation of providing quality technical services in support of infrastructure,” said Minegar. “Building a Planning Practice that aligns with the work I’ve historically done while supporting our existing business units was a huge differentiator and the motivation for me to join MNS. It’s inspiring to work on projects that have tangible, long-term community benefits.”

In 2021, MNS, in partnership with Long Point Capital (LPC), initiated an ambitious business strategy focused on diversification and geographic expansion with the goal of accelerating growth within California and other geographies nationally. The addition of the new Planning Practice advances MNS’ internal strategy of growing the company organically through the addition of complementary services. “We are focused on building MNS as the consultant of choice and believe this is a great step forward in MNS’ broader plan to provide comprehensive services for our clients,” said Ira Starr, MNS Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner at LPC.
